TOURNAMENT BRACKETS

Object of the Game:
Score 21 points OR MORE before your opponent

Setup:
Players (2 females and 2 males/team) can take stance anywhere between the front and back of target, no more than 5 feet away from the side of the target

The cornhole boards will be 24 x 48 inches. They will measure 25 feet apart from front edge to front edge.

*A coin flip decides the team who takes the lead toss in Round 1

Official Scoring:
Games are played to 21 points or more
Bags tossed or knocked into the target hole are worth 3pts
Bags that land (and remain) on the target board are worth 1 pt
Bags that hit the ground before landing on the board or going in the hole Does Not Count
Bags that land (or end up) on the ground are worth 0 pts
Score is the difference in the team totals. For example: After 1 round or 8 bags played; #1 Team with 1 bag in the hole = 3 points.  #2 Team with 2 bags on board = 2 points. Score 1st round for #1 team = 1 point.
11-0 is ruled as a shutout and the game is over.

First team to get to 21 points or more at the end of the round is declared the winner.

In case of a tie, the team who wins the next round is declared the winner.

RULES:

*Team members= 1 male and 1 female will stand at opposite targets from the other male and female from their team and remain there for the entire game. One teammate will throw 2 beanbags, and then the other teammate will throw 2 beanbags- the order of tossing the beanbags does not matter, alternating throws is acceptable. After the first two teammates toss a total of 4 beanbags to the opposite target, then the other two teammates will each throw 2 beanbags. This will result as one turn for the team as a whole.

The opposite team of 4 will then do the same to complete one full round.

  1. The team with the highest score in the previous round throws the lead toss for the round.
  2. Both teams’ alternate tosses until all eight bags have been tossed. (This concludes a round.)
  3. Player’s feet should not project past the front of the target during a toss.
