TOURNAMENT BRACKETS

1. Power Volleyball teams shall consist of 6 players on the court (3 male and 3 female).
2. All matches are the best 2 out of 3. Each game of the match will be rally scoring to 21 points, win by 2, 25 point cap.
3. The net shall be 7’11-5/8”.
4. The tournament will be single elimination.
5. Substitutes are limited to six per game. Players may re-enter the game, but only in their original position in the serving order in relation to their teammates.
6. Under no circumstances may a team play with less than 6 players.
7. If there are not enough players to field a team at the scheduled start of a match, the game shall be a forfeit. There is a 10-minute time limit to start the second game. If the same situation occurs, the second game and match shall be a forfeit.
8. The positioning of the players shall be alternating male and female and there must be 3 men and 3 women on the floor at all times.
9. On the service, the players may not serve until the referee whistles for service. The ball must be clearly seen in the hands of the server and be clearly hit for service. The ball can be served from anywhere behind the end line. A team shall rotate each time they win the serve.
10. The ball may contact any part of the body on or above the waist providing such contact is simultaneous and the ball rebounds immediately. Any contact below the waist is a violation.
11. Scooping, lifting, pushing, or allowing the ball to roll on the body will be considered a held ball and be considered illegal.
12. When a ball is played more than twice by a team, a female player shall make at least one of the contacts.
13. Two time outs will be allowed of 20-second duration each.
14. Blocking can only be done by front row players. Attacking the ball in front of the 10-foot line can only be done by front row players.
15. The receiving team on the serve cannot attack or block the serve. The first hit by the receiving team cannot be a set.
16. In games 1 and 2, a game is won when a team scores 21 points and has at least a 2-point advantage. No game shall exceed 25 points. If tied at 24-24, the first to score 25 points shall be declared the winner.
17. In the consolation finals and finals, all matches will be played to their conclusion, with no cap.
18. The team captain is the only player who may address the official.
19. To help ensure player safety, blatant interference by a player (in the judgement of the Official) with an opposing player who is in the process of playing the ball, shall be declared a fault and a sideout or point will be awarded.
20. Misconduct shall result in: first infraction-team warning; second infraction-1 point or side out; third infraction-team forfeit of a game.
21. All decisions of the Official are final.
22. The championship match will be the best 2 out of 3 games. No cap in the 3rd game.
23. Net serves are allowed.
