Promoting health and wellness in Lorain County each year the proceeds from this event go to a different nonprofit organization with a similar mission and goals. Organizations receiving support previously include the Lorain County Free Clinic and the Cribs for Kids Program. Proceeds from the 2017 event will benefit Primary Purpose Center and Recovery Services. Based on the principles of Alcoholic Anonymous, Primary Purpose Center provides residential recovery services to both men and women.

Why should I donate to Strides for Leadership?
In 2016, more people in the state of Ohio died from unintentional drug overdoses than motor vehicle accidents. According to the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, Ohio also has the grim distinction of leading the nation in opiate related deaths. The mission of Primary Purpose Center is to provide quality sober living while assisting individuals to make lasting changes in their lives and to become productive and participating members of the community.  Although the centers are located in Lorain County, individuals do not have to reside in Lorain County to participate in the program. Your support is needed and greatly appreciated.
